Outdoor Education is a vital part of a balanced curriculum. It allows youth to connect with their classmates and peers in a new environment, where they must work as a team to overcome new challenges break out of their comfort zone. British Columbia is the perfect location to offer an exciting and educational outdoor program, where youth can learn important life skills and be well prepared for future adventures.
Over the past few years, Outdoor Explore have been developing relationships with a number of schools and perfecting a backcountry program that teaches youth valuable wilderness skills, as well as leadership and team building. We are proud to offer outdoor education programs for your school or youth group in the beautiful British Columbia mountains.
Programs include trekking, canoeing, rock climbing, camping, snowshoeing and more! Our past trips have involved trekking and camping in Manning Park, canoeing across Lillooet Lake, snowshoeing across Garibaldi Lake and sleeping in snow caves, and rock climbing on Squamish’s world-famous granite.
Outdoor Explore guides are highly trained and have a wealth of experience working with youth and facilitating outdoor education programs. We require our wilderness guides to have a high level of wilderness first aid, as well as a recent police check including vulnerable sector check.
We provide the following services to ensure a safe, educational and enjoyable outdoor program:
