Hike one of Whistlers most beautiful and scenic trails, to reach a jaw-dropping alpine lake surrounded by steep mountains and ancient icy glaciers. The hike is steep and challenging, with over 1,000m elevation gain, but the reward is worth the effort! With 360 degree views of snow-capped peaks, steep rock faces, turquoise lakes, rushing rivers and deep forested valleys, this hike really has it all!

The Coast mountains are home to hundreds of glaciers that have been around since the last ice age. The town of Whistler is surrounded by glaciers, one of the most famous being the Wedgemount glacier. This giant flows from the summit of Wedge mountain, the highest peak in Garibaldi Provincial Park. As the ice melts, the water flows down into Wedgemount lake, turning the water a deep turquoise which is a stunning sight!

Join us for a challenging day out in the Whistler Mountains, to see one of the most impressive sights in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia.

Always good fun out with the Outdoor Explore team. First time out with these guys I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep up, but they helped make me feel comfortable and safe the whole time. Solid, confident, and proficient guides. Amazing way to visit the outdoors, seeing places that would be hard to access alone....
