The Sea to Sky Corridor of British Columbia is known as the recreational capital of Canada. Squamish is renowned for its world class rock climbing and Whistler is regularly voted as the best ski resort in the world. Needless to say, this area is packed with adventure, beautiful scenery and wild landscapes.
This trek links up two of our most popular hiking areas where we run Squamish guided overnight hikes and Whistler guided overnight hikes, in a 5 day traverse of the Sea to Sky mountains. The terrain is very varied, with rocky scrambles, icy glaciers, colorful meadows and crystal clear lakes. There is some scrambling involved over steep ground, and there may be patches of snow depending on the time of year.
We have opportunities to climb a few peaks along the way, all over 2,000m and involving some scrambling on rock. These scrambles aren’t mandatory and you can choose to skip the climb and take some more rest time. All scrambles depend on conditions and the ability of the group.

Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary, but as this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region, we cannot guarantee that we will stick to this plan. Weather conditions and the health of participants can all contribute to changes. The trip leader/guide will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but an easy going nature will be an asset!
Camping accomodation is provided while on the trek (4 nights).
Our tents are supplied by MountainSmith and are lightweight and weatherproof. They are very roomy to give you the most comfortable camping experience. We can provide either 2 or 4 man options, depending on the number of people in your group.
Please bring your own sleeping bag and sleeping pad/Thermarest. If you are unable to bring your own, please contact us and we can arrange a rental.
The distances travelled each day are short (less than 10km each day) because the terrain is rugged and only short sections are on defined trials. The majority of this trip is off trail, deep in the wilderness (how we like it). The route changes throughout the year depending on the amount of snow, so don’t be surprised if there’s a bit back-and-forth to find the best route. Our guides are well trained in navigation and route finding, and are very knowledgeable about this area.
You will be carrying a pack with your camping equipment, clothing, food, etc. For this reason, you must be comfortable with carrying a moderately heavy load for multiple days. This is mountainous terrain so expect to climb a lot of elevation, and more across loose or rocky ground.
