Imagine watching the sun set over distant snow capped peaks, and waking up to watch it rise over an ancient glacier right next to your tent.

This is one of the most impressive locations that you could pitch your tent in British Columbia. Right at the foot of a giant glacier which flows from the summit of the highest peak in the Whistler area. With 360 degree views of huge rock faces and snow-capped peaks. The scenery is jaw-dropping in every direction.

Stand on ice that was formed in the last ice age and gaze deep into massive ice caves. Dip your toes in the turquoise waters of Wedgemount Lake that drain from deep beneath the nearby glacier.

This hike is challenging, with over 1,000m elevation gain with your overnight backpack, but the rewards are worth the effort! Some of the most stunning sunrise and sunset views imaginable.

Always good fun out with the Outdoor Explore team. First time out with these guys I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep up, but they helped make me feel comfortable and safe the whole time. Solid, confident, and proficient guides. Amazing way to visit the outdoors, seeing places that would be hard to access alone....
